It’s January, and that means health and wellness season is in full effect. It’s the time for goal setting, a ‘fresh’ start, and committing to showing up as your best self, however that looks for you! Continue reading to see our Love Club predictions for what wellness trends are ahead this month.

Intentions to Last All Year- Time and time again, New Year’s Resolutions are set at the beginning of January and often are forgotten by the end of the month, we’ve all been there! This month, we’re predicting a month in which goals and intentions that stick will be a major trend. Gone are the days of setting unattainable resolutions to cut out all sugar by the end of January, work out 7x a week, and placing strict limitations on ourselves to ‘become’ who we want to be. Mindful, consistent practices that set the foundation for daily, healthy habits to reach our goals will take center stage in everyone’s intentions for the year.

To join this trend, we recommend setting 3 small intentions, focusing on 3 areas of your life. For example, one for movement, one for nutrition, and one for mental wellness. These 3 areas that you set intention around will then become part of your daily routine. These intentions will replace your resolutions and help you achieve your long term wellness goals. Bonus: grab a wellness planner to write down your intentions as you are 42% more likely to achieve a goal once it is written down.

Boost Your Immunity- According to a recent survey, 55% of the US population is focused on immune support this year. Your immune system helps to protect your body and keep you from getting sick. This is essential year-round, but especially in the winter months.

We of course recommend getting adequate rest, taking Vitamin C and D supplements, and drinking plenty of water as basic immune boosting practices. Additionally, infrared saunas and B-12 shots are more ‘woo-woo’ ways to think about boosting your immune health. Lastly, reading more on The Love Club about immune health will help to guide you in getting involved in this trend.

Circadian Rhythm at Centerstage- Winter is for hibernating right? That’s what we think anyways. Learning about your circadian rhythm, or sleep-wake cycle, and leaning into practices that will help support your biological clock for your best rest ever will be a trend that lasts all year long.

How can you support your circadian rhythm? Get outside and get sunshine, especially in the morning hours, as this helps to balance your sleep-wake cycle. Practice sleep hygiene by removing electronics at least 1 hour before bed and going to bed at the same time each day. If you’re looking for a gadget that can lead you to rise with the sun and create a bedtime routine, we recommend the Hatch Restore!
