October 10th is World Mental Health Day. As someone who is diagnosed with depression and anxiety, this day means a lot to me. I know this may sound cliche, but one thing that has always helped me when I am feeling depressed or anxious is exercise. It doesn't even have to be something super intense. Sometimes an intense work out is appropriate and I am capable of doing it, but sometimes I am feeling very low and zapped of any energy. On those days, I force myself to just take a walk. Even if it's just 15 minutes of getting my legs moving, I always feel better afterwards. That's my personal wellness tip and I hope it will help others :)
