Happy Springtime 50-plus group! One of the things that makes me happiest about the warmer weather and longer days is that there are more opportunities for taking a walk. Walking is one of the most versatile forms of fitness: you don't need any equipment and you can do it (almost) anywhere. It's also something you can do with a friend, so you get that extra mental health boost from a little socializing.
The American Heart Association has started a "Move More to LIVE FIERCE" campaign, which includes this helpful article on walking fitness.
